Magnetic MRO has confirmed Risto Mäeots will become its new CEO from December 1.
He is promoted from his current chief operating officer role at the Estonian technical care specialist and will assume responsibility for the overall direction of the company.
Incumbent company CEO Jonas Butautis will become chairman of the management board, supporting Mäeots with the transition and also overseeing group-level M&A, asset management, and strategic projects.
Butautis said that the management changes will allow him and other board members to focus on “areas which add significant strategic value to the business”.
The incoming Mäeots added: “I have a vision and strong belief that we will continue to grow our business into an innovative, agile, technology-driven global MRO powerhouse, finding ways to differentiate in this hyper-competitive MRO marketplace.”
Magnetic MRO said it doesn’t anticipate changes to its strategic direction, which over the past three years, has seen the firm change its focus from operating as a hangar-based MRO company to a provider of blended MRO, asset management, and technology solutions.
